Woodcutting is a skill that involves players chopping down different types of trees and vegetation. It is one of the most popular non-combat skills for free to play users. For each tree, a minimum Woodcutting level is required, and a hatchet that is used to cut it.
Woodcutting is a much easier skill for players to train and to get level 99 in.Keep in mind that Woodcutting is still a lower input and faster training skill than Mining, sparing a player an enormous amount of effort for a decent profit.
Woodcutting is a skill in RuneScape that requires players to cut down trees in order to obtain experience as well as logs. Along with it being one of the first skills since RuneScape Classic, woodcutting benefits both the player and other skills. Without it, skills such as Fletching or Firemaking would not be possible.
Woodcutting training for f2p:
1-15 Normal trees. Use best hatchet you can.
15-35 Oak trees. Use best hatchet you can.
35-45(99) Willow trees. Use Adamant hatchet.
45-65(99) Maple trees at Daemonheim peninsula. Use Rune hatchet.
65-99 Yews. Yews are hardly cut when in level 60 so I put 35 here. Also, there are more people in Yews than Maples, because Yews make better money.
(99) means that you can use it to get 99 alternatively.
Tips:
- Go to Draynor. You find a lot of Willows, Oaks and Normal trees there with a bank near. Banking may also be faster than power-leveling (chop 'n' drop).
- Daemonheim Peninsula you should drop the logs you get. The bank is so far away that it is faster to drop them.
- Good places to chop Yew would be Varrock Castle backyard and South-Falador, because the bank is quite near.
- The best moneymaking trees are Oak and Yew. Oak is easily cut and you gain multiple logs from one tree. Yew is harder to cut but more valuable.
